This Mini Ava outfit was a mini success at our house. Well I don’t think this it’s a mini success – I think it’s stunning. I mean what kind of doll doesn’t want a 2 piece ensemble with tucks and pleats? Apparently Emma (formally Emily…formally nameless doll who sat on the shelf in her original outfit for 2 years). Apparently Emma would have prefered a Mini Kyoko. Who would have known? I thought briefly about giving the outfit to a little girl with a doll who likes tucks (apparently it’s the front bodice tucks in particular which are so distasteful to Emma), but I’m keeping it for my grandkids. Hopefully they share my taste in dolly fashion :)

Thank you for a great giveaway! If I was lucky enough to win, I’d choose the Nina pattern and the turquoise humming bird fabric.
So cute! My grandmothers used to make my dolls clothes – I still have a few pieces. Yes, keep the outfit for you grandkids – they’ll appreciate it!
Ooh, that is so cute! I’ve been eyeing the Mini Ava and the Mini Kyoko, too! They are just too adorable. Thanks for the chance to win!
I want to be one of ‘those people’ who are kind and patient enough to make dolls clothes. these patterns are great.
Sewing barbie and dolls clothes is how I learnt to sew so this is close to my heart. I now have a little girl myself after 2 boys and she has inspired my sewing bug again. She (age 3) sits beside me and watches me sew and asks lots of questions – maybe another sewer in the making. I would love to have the Ava pattern.
I have been waiting for these patterns to be released. We have an Aus Girl (named Emily) who spends alot of time sitting on miss 5’s bed. I have the Frida pattern and would love the doll version, so the girls can matchy match and maybe become better aquainted.
ooh, i’ve been waiting desperately for these to ecome available. What a great giveaway, thank you! I’d love to enter.
Stunning outfits! We should do a swap – I could knit a dress and you could sew one??
I would love a chance to win a Modkid pattern (and the fabric too of course!). Thanks for the fantastic giveaway.
What a gorgeous dress, I would love the chance to sew something like that for my girls with such beautiful fabric.
Your doll is gorgeous and those sure are cute clothes you’ve made her. I love the bright colours in that range – just perfect for little and big girls.
That is just gorgeous! My daughter would adore a dress like that – or I would!
Love it!!
It would look great on Indigo’s ‘Cindy’ (previously known as Cinderella, but had the store bought name of Katie).
You are so so talented Annabel!
Apparently the whole to-scale doll’s patterns things started with couturiers in France when the ‘pattern’ actually arrived as a finished dress on a doll, was removed, separated, then scaled up by seamstresses to the dimensions of the human they were fitting for. Madeline Vionnet used to use this technique for her designs and then scale them up for final toiles..
What a gorgeous set of dolls outfits! I love the idea of putting my daughter and her doll in a little matching outfit! And….. for me it seems like an added bonus that they come with clear colour instructions, my favourite!
You are an inspiration to all! I would love to try the Kyoko for my two little girls.
so cute harmony aged 9 got a kids sewing machine for xmas this would be a great mum teaching daughter to sew activity
thank u for the giveaway! :) i think Flora and Fauna – Humming Birds – Turquoise is absolutely gorgeous!! i would love to win the Frida Pattern too. :) thanks again!!
Kids are fantastic the way they tell you exactly what they think…no matter how much effort you put in :)I think you did a lovely job on Emma’s outfit. Would love to win a Modkid pattern (was just eyeing these patterns off yesterday!) Better luck with the next outfit!
I’d love a new pattern and another metre of fabric to add to my stash! I’ll think about which ones between now and when my name is drawn!! Thanks!
Don’t you just love getting honest feedback about the things you make! My daughter inherited a stack of pilled, torn dolls clothes from our neighbour & even at 2y.o she lets me know she prefers them to my (pattern-less) attempts at dolls clothes. I try not to be offended!
Oh how my daughters Ruby would love a new stylish MODKid outfit- instead of one i have made for her from no patterns, which my kind daughter tells me “were not good”. Thanks for a great giveaway!
I have 6 noieces, all of which would love it, now which one to choose if I win.
