Last night I finally got around to making this Make It Perfect Versatile Wrap, ready for when this Arctic blast leaves us and the weather returns to something that more cloesly approximates spring.

I made the size medium, which is a good fit on me. The directions were easy to follow and I easily made the skirt in an evening.

The only modification I made was to add a strip of elastic along the back of the waistband before I attached it to the skirt. I knew I would have to do this before I even opened the pattern, as I have large hips in relation to my waist and most clothes gape at the back. Next time I might add pleats instead, which would be slightly more flattering, but the elastic is comfy and this will be an excellent skirt for those ridiculously hot days we get during the Australian summer.

Here I am modelling it – I think it was about 14 degrees Celcius outside at the time!

I would really like to make the same skirt out of this gorgeous Nano Iro fabric I have just added to the store. Imagine how cool and comfortable this skirt would be made out of double gauze! Yum :)
